Student Advisory Board

The SAB is the voice of Washoe County School District students. 


 The Washoe County School District (WCSD) Student Advisory Board (SAB) consists of 28 students from each of our high schools, with one member who sits on the Board of Trustees as a non-voting member. This exceptional team of student leaders engage with school district staff and the Board of Trustees in active, meaningful conversatiTheir input, ideas and advocacy is welcomed on a wide range of   Looktopics including anti bullying initiatives, cultural competency, bell schedule and possible changes to the school calendar. The SAB meet regularly and at the start of the school year, they help shape the program for the year. The program is varied and provides learning opportunities in a relaxed and respectful environment. The SAB is open to all high school students within WCSD seeking to develop their advocacy and leader skills. Please contact your principal is you are interested in being part of the team.
